Development Monitoring
Development Monitoring concerns the ongoing review of developments for the benefit of a concerned stakeholder. This may include equity participants, debt providers, JV partners or forward purchasers. The required scope and frequency of monitoring depend significantly on the structure of the stakeholder arrangement, the complexity of the development and the desired outcome of the monitoring. Monitoring services can be viewed negatively by the lead developer but if approached with a focus on value creation, risk transparency and mutual benefit, project monitoring can add significant insight to both the developer and stakeholder engaging the services.
